StyleSeat is a marketplace and scheduling platform connecting independent beauty, wellness, and fitness professionals with clients ready to book. Over the past several years, I’ve had the opportunity to lead major product redesigns, reimagine onboarding, and ship high-impact features across the platform. I work closely with Product, Engineering, Data, and Leadership to turn research and experimentation into thoughtful, measurable improvements, and I’ve helped grow our design system to support scale, consistency, and velocity.

Problem

New clients start with a cold, unpersonalized search experience, leading to low first-session booking conversion.

Solution

Ask a small set of low-friction questions on first visit to capture preferences and immediately personalize search results.

Impact

Targeting higher first-session booking CVR and improved early engagement.

The Prompt

I’m exploring adding a simple personalization entry point in search that lets clients share what they care about, like preferred days and times, style or service type, and distance. The goal is to give users more control over their results while helping us surface more relevant matches and drive higher-quality bookings.

The Learnings

  • Time to first draft was cut significantly

  • Established filter patterns are easy to pull from

Narrowing Broad Intent

Problem

Clients search by broad service categories but want specific services, creating friction and drop-off before booking.

Solution

When a client taps a service category, prompt them to choose the service they’re interested in, then prioritize Pros who offer it.

Impact

Targeting a +1–2% lift in search → profile conversion and increased bookings.

Ai Review Summaries

What was done

We improved the look & feel of the Client review modal and used AI to generate a summary of all the Client reviews for each Pro.

Impact

Users who actually interacted with the new reviews modal showed a +2.51%  directional lift in booking rate
